Elder Jerome Nelson
Elder Eddie Jerome Nelson was born on February 26, 1965 in New Brockton, Alabama to Leroy and Alvonya Nelson along with two other siblings. He graduated from New Brockton High in 1984. He went on to attend Enterprise Junior College. He proudly accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at the age of 18 on Tuesday, September 24, 1983 under the leadership of Elder R.L. McKinney. He would be later be called to minister in 1985. Shortly thereafter, he was lead by the late Bishop W. Matthews to relocate to Florida to work under the leadership of Elder Herbert Green, Jr. in 1989. A year after being ordained as an Elder in December of 1994, Elder Nelson received his first pastoral appointment to Little Bethel Church of God by Faith in Davenport, FL. The LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him (Genesis 2:18 KJV). On April 13, 1996, God blessed Elder Nelson with a lovely wife, First Lady Wynell Nelson. They have four beautiful children, Ikeshia, Eddie Jr., Ednecia, and Charity. After serving at the Little Bethel Church of God by Faith for over 20 years, Elder Nelson was appointed as Pastor of Winter Haven Church of God by Faith. Outside of his ministry, he was employed at Frito Lay for 25 years and retired on February 18, 2016. By the favor of God, he is now a full time Pastor and is excited about what God is doing and about to do in his life.
